Coming to Google Play
Ramz
The reminder arrives showing a photo of the actual thing. No account, no cloud.
Photograph the pill bottle, the shelf, the form, the door. Write your own words on the picture, and choose a time. At that time the picture comes back — full screen and ringing if it matters, quietly if it does not. There is nothing to type and nothing to describe. رمز means a symbol, a sign.
No sign-up
No account, no profile, no login. Ramz does not know who you are, because there is nothing for it to know you with.
No server
Your photographs never leave your phone. The app makes no network calls and declares no internet permission — it works in aeroplane mode.
No advertising
An advertisement inside an interruption you glance at and dismiss is a bad product. A feature that shipped free stays free.
It tells you when your phone lets you down
Android will sometimes block a reminder without telling the app that delivered it. Most reminder apps never find out. Ramz checks, and when a reminder was due but did not arrive it says so, names the setting that stopped it, and takes you there.
We tested this before building anything on top of it: put into a phone's deep-sleep mode, a reminder was dropped by the platform, and the miss detector caught it and reported it. Ramz cannot promise the phone will always let a reminder through. It can promise never to leave you guessing.
It says “about 6:00 pm” when it means about
Some phones, and some permission settings, will not let an app wake at an exact minute. Where that is the case Ramz shows an approximate time rather than a precise one it cannot honour. A reminder app that displays a time it might miss by twenty minutes has told you something untrue on the one screen you rely on.
Built to be usable
Every screen survives the largest system font without cutting text off. Every control is named for a screen reader. A selection is always stated in words, never by colour alone, and contrast meets the AA standard in both the light and dark themes. Ramz speaks English, Arabic, French, German and Spanish, and lays out right-to-left in Arabic.
Two apps, one difference
Ramz is free to install. Ramz Care is the same app bought once as a paid app, so that a household can share it through Google Play Family Library — which Google does not allow for purchases made inside an app. That is the only difference between them: the code is identical, and neither collects anything.
Each has its own privacy policy: Ramz and Ramz Care.
Availability
Ramz is built, signed and verified on a physical device, and its store listing is written. It is not published yet, so there is nothing to install today. We will add the download link the day it goes live and not a day before — a store badge that leads nowhere is exactly the kind of small lie we work to avoid.
